Last week, our chairman Christian Skelton caught up with Phil Hewitt, Group Arts Editor for Sussex Newspapers, to chat about our latest grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation.

The grant, which is worth £50,000, will be used towards urgent refurbishment works so we can open the main hall to the public.

Christian Skelton said: "We are going to be using the money for very, very early-stage refurbishment works. We need to be fixing the roof. There is a lot of water coming in. So it's really essential maintenance work like the guttering, the roof and also sorting the floors. We have now secured in total about £120,000 for the phase one repairs of which this £50,000 is a big chunk."

We are grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation for their support of our work.
