PAVILION, SELSEY. ON Sunday and Monday, "THE SAVAGE." starring Charlton Heston and Susan Morrow, is supported by "TELEVISION SPY." "MAN OF BRONZE," starring Burt Lancaster and Charles Bickford is the attraction on Tuesday and Wednesday. The film tells the true story of Jim Thorpe, a Red Indian athlete, who became the greatest all round performer of his time. He competed in the Olympics and won the Decathlon and was first in many other events. Then he was accused of receiving money for play a baseball game and had to forfeit his cups and trophies, never being allowed to appear again as an amateur. He took to drink. His greatest ambition was always to become a coach and not until he achieved this aim in a humble way did his stock begin to rise again. "AFRICAN QUEEN," starring Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn, is showing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The film is adapted from C. S. Forrester's novel, and follows the adventures of a prim spinster and a rugged engineer, thrown together by the outbreak of the 1914-1918 war in Africa. Together. they take part in a hazardous trip down river to sink a German gunboat, The film was made in Africa in Technicolor. During July and August, performances on Sundays and Mondays at the Pavilion, Selsey, will be continuous. On the other days of the week, there will be separate shows, beginning at 5.45 p.m. and 8 p.m.
