Transcript:

PAVILION, SELSEY. Many cinema-goers will not remember the first appearance of "SANDERS OF THE RIVER," released over ten years ago, but on Monday for three days the film of the famous Edgar Wallace book again comes to the screen. Leslie Banks has the title role of a Commissioner who controlled millions of untamed jungle dwellers with kindliness, and singer Paul Robeson is also starred. When in the year 1907 two sisters (Margaret Johnson and Dulcie Gray) inherit a beautiful villa in Italy, they are pleasantly surprised. But they then knew not of Salvatore (Kieron Moore), the suave major-domo of the villa, who to fulfil his every wish was prepared to steal, lie and murder, while pretending to be only "A MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE "—on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
