SELSEY. A successful social evening, organised by Bishop Twitchell, who also extended a cordial invitation to all worshippers at St. Peter's Church, has taken place at the Pavilion. Many of the company were glad to see Canon Wilson again, and he thanked everyone for the welcome he received. The following people entertained the audience, Mrs. Simpson, Miss M. Hunt. daughter of the Rector of Birdham, Messrs. C. and H. Smith, and A. Barrow. Refreshments were served under the supervision of the Parochial Church Council. When dancing was introduced, the Bishop took as his partner Selsey's oldest inhabitant, Mrs. Willis.
