A Presentation. On Saturday, at the Cinema Hall, Selsey, there was a large attendance of all the principal inhabitants who came at Mr. Archibald Hamilton’s request to attend a presentation to Chief Petty Officer Searle, of Thorney Coast Guard Station, who is so justly popular in Selsey. Mrs. Gardner presented Mr. Searle with a purse, and Mr. Hamilton alluded to the splendid service Mr. Searle had rendered in the Navy. For over 40 years be had had the honour of serving his King and country. Mr. Searle thanked the company and alluded to the good work Mr. Hamilton was doing in recruiting. A thrilling set of pictures was given, and altogether the entertainment was a great success. Recruiting Meeting To-Morrow. On Thursday (to-morrow) at the invitation of Mr. Archibald Hamilton, Colonel Duke, who was with Lord Roberts at Kandahar, will speak at a recruiting meeting at the Cinema Hall, Selsey, and it is hoped that among other speakers Admiral Holland, J.P.. of Chichester address the meeting. A free entertainment will be given. The chair will be taken at 8 o'clock by Sir. Archibald Hamilton.
