Ball-Chichester Observer-Wednesday 22 February 1922
Transcript:

Successful Ball. Promoted by the Sports Committee of the Comrades Club, in aid of the fund for the purchase of a new billiard table, a successful ball was held in the Pavilion on Friday evening. The company, which included many prominent residents, numbered about 150, and a most enjoyable time was spent, dancing being kept up until half-past two the next morning. The music was supplied by a jazz band. Mrs. Leith, wife of Major F. R. Leith, Secretary of the Club, gave valuable assistance in connection with the refreshment arrangements, and many others helped in various ways.
