Transcript:

PAVILION, SELSEY. Doris Day star in the Technicolor musical "APRIL IN PARIS" (Sunday and Monday). The story concerns a chorus girl who, by a mistake, is chosen to represent the American Theatre at the International Festival of Arts in Paris. This causes the Festival to be far more lively than expected. "RETREAT, HELL!" (Tuesday and Wednesday) shows the U.S. Marines fighting in Korea. Frank Lovejoy portrays a conscientious battalion commander who is recalled from civilian life to military duty. Another of the characters is a young recruit who enlisted out of tradition, not realizing the horrors of battle. To add authenticity to the film, captured Chinese tanks are used. Nigel Patrick stars in "GRAND NATIONAL NIGHT." a British murder mystery. All the action takes place on the night of the great race. Patrick portrays the owner of the winning horse, and he is married to a thoroughly selfish, alcoholic woman. When she is found murdered in her lover's car, suspicion falls on the lover and the husband, but the former establishes an alibi.. .
