Film Preview – Bognor Regis Observer – Saturday, 11 December 1948
Transcript:

PAVILION,SELSEY' A secret locked in the heart of a strange city—the first dramatic meeting of the Big Three Conference—forms the background for a "spy-thriller" which involves a young war correspondent and a lovely Russian ballerina in political intrigue, and, shady and mysterious manoeuvres, while moving within the Persian capital. Derek Farr and Marta Labarr are co-starred in "TEHERAN," to be screened on Monday for three days. Into the vividly human subject of the struggles arid triumphs of a small group of ordinary Britishers striving to achieve a political ideal is woven the story of Michael Redgrave and Rosamund John as two young people bound together not only by love, but by their political beliefs. " FAME IS THE SPUR," set in a time of political unrest and the Suffragette movement, completes the week's films.
