Transcript:

PAVILION, SELSEY, For cinema fans who demand the highest of motion pictures standards and who thrive on the unusual, the latest offering coming to the Pavilion, Selsey, on Monday, can be heartily recommended. The film is Columbia Pictures' thrilling romantic drama "GILDA" with stunning Rita Hayworth glamorously portraying the title role. "GILDA" is romantic drama at its best. Tensely keyed, moving swiftly against the lush background of Buenos Aires, sparked with candid raw, fresh characterisations and telling a provocative story of romance and intrigue, it brings stark realism to the screen with terrific impact. Glenn Ford is co-starred with Rita Hayworth. Other important roles are played by George Macready and Joseph Calleia. Thursday's feature "THE RAKE'S PROGRESS," stars Rex Harrison, Lilli Palmer, Godfrey Tearle and Griffiths Jones.
