Film Preview – Chichester Observer – Saturday, 01 January 1949
Transcript:

PAVILION, SELSEY. Little do the Huggett family realise when they go to “HOLIDAY CAMP," that during their stay they are to experience murder and attempted suicide. Presented on Monday for three days, the film traces the various members of the family who find themselves separated into different chalets where they meet others for the first time. Jack Warner heads a strong cast. Set on the coast of Cornwall, the unusual story of “WHILE I LIVE” showing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday—pivots on the death of a young composer, who suffers a nervous breakdown when she overburdens her gift for musical interpretation. Notwithstanding, Julia (Sonia Dresdel) dedicates her life to the music and memory of her younger sister, while she and her old servant (Tom Walls) believe that her surviving spirit will one day return.
