WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.—The monthly meeting was held in the Pavilion on Wednesday. Mrs. Hodson addressed the meeting on the subject of the Rules of the Federation of Women's Institutes, especially with regard to the methods of opening a meeting. After tea had been served Mrs. Bailey gave a very interesting demonstration on "Simple Stitches for Practical Garments," which was much appreciated. The monthly competition was for the best bowl of bulbs. The first prize was won by Mrs. Lamb with a bowl of shell pink double hyacinths. Miss Gardner obtained the second prize. It was decided that future meetings be held in the Church Hall.
