To the sinisterly grey background is added the evilness of a man named Havoc, who. living up to his name, wreaks violence and death to all who cross his greedy path. Tony Wright has his first major starring role as Jack Havoc, and emerges as a cold-blooded killer whose answer to argument is the spring-knife. Dragged into this world of intrigue are a group of innocent people. including Meg Elwin (Muriel Paylow), the widow of a major, and Geoffrey Levett (Donald Sinden), who clashes with Havoc because of a case of mistaken identity.
