Film Preview – Bognor Regis Observer – Friday, 20 September 1957
Transcript:

OUT of the inflamed passions, violent hatreds, and deep-rooted loyalties which resulted from and were a part of the great tragedy known as the American Civil War, Robert Hardy Andrews created a classic novel. Now "GREAT DAY IN THE MORNING has been made into a film, and starring in this great saga are Virginia Mayo, Robert Stack, Ruth Roman and Alex Nicol. The story of how a vast newspaper concern tracks down a brutal murderer, "WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS" stars Dana Andrews, Ida Lupino, Rhonda Fleming and George Sanders. A crazy comedy with a Rock 'n' Roll beat, "DANCE WITH ME HENRY" stars those ageless slapstick masters Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. Murder and romance are entwined in this heart-warming story. An hilarious honeymoon aboard a battered and begrimed old cargo boat, forms the theme for "TRUE AS A TURTLE," starring John Gregson, June Thorburn and Cecil Parker. How the world's police combine to smash a counterfeit ring who are flooding Europe with forged notes, forms the background for "OUTSIDE THE LAW," starring Ray Denton, Leigh Snowden and Grant Williams.
