Transcript:

PAVILION, SELSEY. In his anxiety to preserve the secret of his penniless state, comedian George Formby, on arrival at a home where vaudeville artistes "rest," does not alter the impression that he is providing the money for the residents' proposed cabaret show. Worse still, he becomes involved in a murder charge—with laughable results in "I DIDN'T DO IT," showing on Monday for three days. Completing the week's film entertainment at the Pavilion is THE WISTFUL WIDOW," described as the funniest of all the twenty comedies made so far by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. As household goods salesmen arriving in the wild western town of Wagon Gap, the two funsters meet trouble when Lou is charged with shooting a no-good resident and, under the law, must support the victim's widow (Marjorie Main) and family and pay all his debts.
