PAVILION, SELSEY. "CONFLICT OF WINGS," a British film in colour, stars John Gregson. Muriel Pavlow, Kieron Moore and Niall MacGinnis. The film tells of a R.A.F. jet fighter squadron, equipped with Vampires, suddenly ordered to convert to the role of a ground attack squadron before going overseas on an operational mission. A rocket firing range must be found for their practical training and they are allocated a piece of land in Norfolk, known locally as "The Island of Children." Since ancient times this land has been preserved as a bird sanctuary and the villagers are immediately up in arms against its possible destruction. Donald O'Connor, Janet Leigh and Buddy Hackett star in the Technicolor musical. "WALKING MY BABY BACK HOME." The story concerns the efforts of a young clarinet player to form an orchestra. He faces problems which at times seem insurmountable. His private life is no greater success. The person whom he loves thinks his love for music greater than his love for her. Eventually prospects begin to look better and at last they glow. "THE GREAT SIOUX UPRISING" is a Western in Technicolor, starring Jeff Chandler, Faith Domergue and Lyle Bettger.
