PAVILION, SELSEY. "EIGHT O'CLOCK WALK," a British production; is the story of three 3 young people joined in a fight against circumstances both damning and overwhelming. Tom Manning (Richard Attenborough), a taxi driver is falsely accused of the murder of an eight-year-old girl on a derelict bomb-site. Jill, his loyal young wife, bewildered by the mesh of legal procedure which instantly descends upon him, fights for and wins the active sympathy of Peter Tanner (Derek Farr), junior counsel for the defence. "DEVIL ON HORSEBACK" stars Googie Withers, John McCallum and Jeremy Spenser. The story is of a young rider who makes the top grade as a jockey and then, through his conceit, finds himself hanging perilously on to the bottom rung. Starring Tony Curtis as Harry Houdini. and Janet Leigh as his wife, Bess. "HOUDINI" is the real-life screen story of the fabulous entertainment personality who thrilled millions with his death-defying stunts and escapes from seemingly impossible places and situations. Filmed in Technicolor, and produced by George Pal. "Houdini" not only relates the exciting public career of Harry Houdini, but explores his personal life as well. "ALASKA SEAS." with Robert Ryan, Jan Sterling and Brian Keith, is the stern story, set in the frozen north, of the fight for existence between two groups of salmon fishermen.
