Women’s Institute. At the September meeting of the Selsey Women’s Institute there was an exhibition of one or more articles of every kind of demonstration that has been held since the commencement of the Institute. A talk by the Rev. Boyden on the "Rules of Debate,” a subject on which he had specially been asked to speak. Special mention was made of the work Mrs. MacDermott had done for the W. I., both as an ordinary member and as Vice-President, and much sorrow and regret was expressed at her approaching departure from Selsey. Mrs. Butt gave a demonstration on paper flower making, which was much appreciated. Tea was given to the members, and all were waited on by a bevy of "Geisha Girls" composed of the junior members. After tea came a most enviable entertainment; Mrs. Barford gave two songs in her usual delightful manner; three members of the Southbourne W.I. gave most amusing sketch "Our at-home day." and one member gave a very laughable dialogue; after which Mrs. Meyer (a visitor) gave “Waltz Song” from "The Pirates of Penzance,” and for encores Tosti’s “Goodbye" and "To my first love”. The meeting ended by singing ''The King.”
