Concert Party – Chichester Observer – Wednesday, 15 August 1923
Transcript:

SELSEY. At The Pavilion. “The Society Idols“ are paying their first visit to Selsey at the Pavilion this week. Headed by a talented comedian in Mr. Harry Talbot, who has written many of the concerted numbers, they give a very bright and diversified show. The other members the company are Miss Gladys Clarke (comedienne). Miss Lilian Barrie (at the piano). Mr. Stanley Haysman (baritone), Miss Gwladys Newth (“dainty singer of dainty songs"). Miss Alva Harvey (soubrette and dancer), and Mr. Arthur Lenville (entertainer). Next week “The Twentieth Century Minstrels” a troupe of 12 tip-top artistes will occupy the boards. It should be noted that the Pavilion is a delightfully cool hall during the hot weather.
