Death Notice H. Hocking-Chichester Observer-Wednesday 13 January 1926
Transcript:

SELSEY. The Late Mr. Hocking. Selsey residents generally have been grieved greatly at learning of the passing away in his sleep on Sunday at Penzance, of Mr. H. Hocking, of Selsey. The deceased gentleman has taken a great interest in Selsey affairs, and it was due largely to him that the village has the Pavilion and Church Hall. He was the "Father” of the Selsey Lodge of Freemasons, and, in consequence of his death, the "Ladies” Night, fixed for Friday evening at fhe Selsey Hotel, has been postponed. We understand that the funeral takes place at Mitcham on Friday.
