Film Preview - Bognor Regis Observer – Saturday, 12 October 1946
Transcript:

PAVILION, SELSEY. Olivia De Havilland, Ray Milland and Sonny Tufts head the cast of "THE WELL GROOMED BRIDE," a gay and sparkling comedy-romance showing at the Pavilion, Selsey on Monday. A great romantic team, Norma Shearer and Frederic March, was formed, with the added lustre of Charles Laughton in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer feature, "THE BARRETTS OF WIMPOLE STREET," a re-issue, which comes on Thursday. Set in 1845, the poetic story of the love of Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning is unfolded—against a beautiful, mellowed background of gentler times, and dressed in the curls and crinolines that go arm in arm with romance.
